Baby Shower Ideas
Baby showers are a super great way
to show the mom-to-be some love. Motherhood, even preparing for it, is a
beautiful yet super challenging task that should be acknowledged and
celebrated! Especially for first time moms, baby showers are a must! So, we put
together this list of our favorite baby shower ideas to help you plan the best
celebration. There are so many different options and ideas, so there’s
something that’s perfect for every mom-to-be!
1. Think of a theme!
Themed parties are so fun and give you a
good place to start planning. Plus, baby showers have the cutest themes, so don’t miss out! There’s tons of options (even if
you don’t know the sex of the baby) so take some time to look around. Check out

2. Head out of the house!
Many baby showers are held at home, which is
great, but definitely don’t feel confined by that! There are lots of places to
celebrate that don’t include the hosts’ home.
Restaurants, parks, and lounges are just a few options. This is
especially great if you’re short on time or simply don’t want to host guests in
your home – no judgement!
3. Baby brunchin’!
Baby showers are a great excuse for a super
lavish brunch! Book a table at your fav brunch spot and invite your guests!
Enjoy yummy food and great company with very little work. You’ll love how easy
this one is on you.
4. Plan games!
Games aren’t just for babies! There are so
many great baby shower games to play that will keep your party super
entertained. Check out classics like the “dirty diaper game”, “who knows mommy
best”, and placing due date bets!
5. Take time to relax!
The mom to be has a baby on the way, so she
should take advantage of every second of time she has now! We love the idea of
heading to the spa to celebrate a baby shower with total relaxation and
pampering (happy mama = happy baby). It’s a great way to have a totally
stress-free day to celebrate and prepare for the baby on the way.
6. Create something for the baby!
A super fun way to create a meaningful
keepsake for the baby is to ask the guests to write the baby a short letter or
wish. Mom will love reading all the sweet messages, and her child will be super
thankful for this beautiful gift (when they old enough to appreciate it).
7. Be Specific!
This one is for the mom-to-be’s!: We think
that it’s a good idea to be super specific with gift requests (unless you
really don’t care), so you get everything you need and nothing you don’t. It’s
a great time to stock up on the basics (diapers, wipes, onesies, etc.) because
soon enough you’ll be short on time. If there are other, specific, items you
want, tell people! They’ll appreciate how easy you’ve made it on them and
you’ll love getting things you really want and need.
8. Honor Tradition!
Baby showers are a great time to
incorporate some family traditions to give the mom to be some extra love and
she begins her new family. Consult her mother, grandmothers, and in-laws for
recipes and other traditions.
9. Do it Yourself!
There are so many baby shower DIY’s that
are great for cutting down on costs and giving the celebration a personal feel.
